Yes they are. We ate there on Saturday morning.
Yes, they were open Friday's for "dinner"... we at there 2 times for Dinner and enjoyed it but I guess not enough customers to keep it going?¿?
Excellent service and food as always and they take care of us Veterans
Extremely disappointing how this Catalina staple has gone downhill since the ownership change. Burnt bacon, 30+ minute wait for scrambled eggs, bacon, and biscuits and gravy. Poor service, higher prices, and bland food. So sad. Won't return.
Very busy on a Sunday! Food, atmosphere, and service is casual and excellent!😁
Love the food, they make it just how you ask for- staff are wonderful. Love supporting our local private owned businesses! Good people - people you can depend on. Love the grande omelette, breakfast burrito and special sauce on hamburgers!!!
The omelet was kind of skimpy but the quesadilla was great. Waitress was attentive and friendly. Nice atmosphere plus the wait wasn't long,
Huge portions, delicious food, friendly wait staff. My husband devoured the biscuits and gravy! I had the Grande Omelette and would highly recommend it.
The food selection it's good but the portions are small and the service is slow. Food was okay.
Great food, great service!
Very good food, relaxing atmosphere and grrrrreat service!
Had breakfast there and the hash browns were awful, musty tasting like they came out of a old damp basement as was their whole wheat toast. It would behoove them to taste test both and make a decision to have the best they can find. Why skimp on taste when you are running a food service?
Have been going to Sunnyside since it opened about 20 years ago. Today some of the worst food ever. Waited almost an hour for food and when served eggs toast hashbrowns and other meal all cold. Over $23 and nothing was edible
Another amazing Catalina restaurant. Fast service, even on Sunday mornings. I'm always surprised that the food is so consistently good.
High end
The atmosphere brings me back to happier days and the food and menu are top notch...we love it!
Food is typical diner food just ok. Coffee here is not great. Service is always good. Prices are ok. One day I walked in and witnessed a young waitress outside petting a dog. A few minutes later I saw the same waitress touching and serving food without washing her hands. This was just one incident but made me wonder about hygiene practices of the staff.
Friendly staff and good food!
Food is not good. Service is nice but for the price food should be way better.
Food was delcious, me and my husband went, staff was very friendly and attentive. Food came at a great time frame. The only thing i have a comment on is the biscuits for my biscuits and gravy were very hard as if they were just reheated in a microwave.. It took a lot of energy just to cut into it to get a bite.
Loved this place. Best place for breakfast in the area for sure. A great menu and excellent service. Very friendly and personal. Reminds me of the small town where I grew up in the Midwest. Much larger inside than I expected and very busy. Sparkling clean too. Note that they serve lunch too but close at 2 PM.
My favorite breakfast place! Fast friendly service. All the typical choices you'd want plus 3 blackboard specials. Don't be put off by all the cars, there is parking in the back & plenty of seating inside. I would give this restaurant 5 stars if it would upgrade their coffee.
It's reopened and have distancing between tables, food still good
Regular customer - today a disappointment. Service was slower than usual, and the pancakes were essentially inedible. They tasted like they were drowned in buttermilk, almost a sour dough flavor. Two customers in our group had to send them back to the kitchen.
Nice breakfast and they have a seniors menu
Good food, great service
Love the food and the service. They have excellent comfort food. They are fast and always keep your coffee full.
So the food is just okay, nothing fantastic. I was disappointed badder the price is high, but portions are just average. My husband ordred the pork tenderloin special for $10.00. it came with 3 small pieces of pork, 2eggs and biscuits and gravy.
This place is pretty poor quality, I will not return. I like to visit the breakfast places in the little towns along our travels. I am usually satisfied, and it is fun to compare them. Ordered the daily special, a corned beef hash with green chili. Portion was very small for $11, food was bland and tasteless. Wife ordered the breakfast burrito which was not properly wrapped and could not be picked up, this was also bland and had only a few shreds of cheese. Our daughters pancakes tasted of onions.
good breakfasts good chef salad. nice waitresses.
It's like the Catalina's breakfast version of Cheers! Great food friendly service. It's a great place!
Pretty good omlette and hashbrowns. It was pretty busy on the weekend so I would go early if possible. I would come back.
This place is like eating at grandma's house. Tasty food, fast service, and the servers make you feel like family. If your in Tucson make the short trip up to Catalina to enjoy thid local gem.
Great food and great service
Good food, good service and friendly atmosphere.
Good food good service
Above average food, awesome friendly service.
if you're looking for a true piece of Americana, look no further. at the border of Catalina State Park, this is a must for a hearty breakfast or lunch. personal service, diner classics, down-to-earth atmosphere and good coffee, all is right with the world in here.
Excellent, handmade, food with plentiful portions at a decent price, the French Toast is to die for! Friendly service & atmosphere.
Had the best breakfast ever. The quesadilla was amazingly delicious and the staff was great. Definitely would come back.
Got the French toast special with an egg and 2 bacon, all cooked to perfection. Very good.
Under new management. Same wonderful service. Food is still spectacular. Now open on Friday and Saturday nights starting on May 5, 2017.
Great small little place. Would recommend cinnamon French toast.
We drove across town from the Eastside of Tucson to try out this place that we have drove by many times. We walk in greeted sat got our drinks and then our waitress decided to take two other tables orders and then a new couple comes in and the waitress goes and gets their drinks and their order and we're still sitting there. We ended up leaving because we're sat there so long and nobody came to get our order.
Eat there bill weekly. Service and food is always top notch.
Sunny Side Up is the quintessential classic diner experience in Tucson with a side of constant smiles, happiness and jokes from the staff.Customer service still counts and paired with the solid diner foods and the cozy rooster décor you will feel right at home.Sunny Side Up is like the Cheers of diners. Don't expect extravagance. But solid american diner food is what you can rely on here!Five stars are deserved for sure!
Yummy comfort food ... & great service, too!
Good food, friendly folks. Always a good choice for breakfast.
Best breakfast place in Catalina area. Good selection at fair price. Prompt kitchen
Sunnyside Up Cafe is a cozy little mom-and-pop restaurant that serves great food with large portions and reasonable prices. A waitress had a smile on her face and was serving a group of 20 plus and handled it quite well. I would highly recommend this place to those of you that want a good home cooked meal.
Awesome breakfast, the senior plate was great and very affordable. Great service with a smile.
Super cute! Down home cafe. You can order burgers and other lunch items as well as breakfast!
